First cheese cake
I woke up this morning and googled for a recipe for a cheese cake. I didn't want to make just a normal cheese cake because I wanted something lighter and something which involves more than just mixing and refrigerating. So I found a recipe for a Japanese chiffon cheese cake. Then I went to supermarket to get the ingredients, without bringing the iphone which I copied the ingredient list in. 出师不利.
I couldn't find "a block of cream cheese". So I got the cream cheese spread. Which is probably why my cheese cake did not turn out as I expected. Disclaimer first. haha...
Require soft heat to melt the cream cheese... this is redundant for me as my cream cheese spread is already very liquid.
The product seems ok. My husband and housemate said it tasted good. It's just that I expected something lighter and fluffier.
While waiting for the cheese cake to bake, I had time to make some meatballs. They were inspired by my mother-in-law's signature meatballs. There was no pork here, so I used chicken. Though the taste and texture is not exactly similar, it tasted alright.
