[Overdued post] Roselle in preschool 2 Apr 2018
First day in Playgroup on 2 Apr 2018.
This was taken on the 2nd day after she collected her uniform on the first.
My darby looks so cute.
This was first day. She went in home clothes. I was able to stay in the class together with her to observe how the class went.
Class officially starts at 9am and ends at 11am. The itinerary is something like this:
9am - 9.30am: Door opens, all kids reach progressively, take off their shoes, line up to take temperature, check mouth, palms, feet, apply sanitiser etc. After the checks, proceed to the classroom to play with random toys sprawled all over the floor. They do not play with one another, they play alongside with one another. Teacher Priscilla will look after them while Teacher Jennifer make the checks.
9.30am - 10.00am: Teacher leads lesson. She would recap and reinforce what was learned in the past few days or previous week, e.g. letters/numbers, themes, songs, stories. Then she proceeds with new items. Children are encouraged to answer questions or repeat what the teacher said. Roselle of course sat there all blur.
10:00am to 10.30am: the floor toys got sprawled all over again. All the children started playing with the toys again while one by one got picked by Teacher Jennifer to do something in their workbooks.
10:30am to 11:00am: Kids all sat at the tables to drink from their water bottles while two by two went for their toilet breaks.
11:00 am: go home
