Something to do with age
That day, I went out for lunch with a pump supplier, Francis. He told me an amusing news. He said our team is very famous in the industry.
Because we are an extremely young team.
Our Engineering manager, Tian, is only in his early thirties.
Electrical engineer, Huang Huang: 24.
I & C engineers, Steven and Soo Beng: 26.
Process engineers, Tay: 26 , Tang Jia and Chee Pieu: 30, me: 25.
Francis said even Hyflux commented on our team - so young.
Wow... the industry is so small... everyone knows everyone.
After that, I talked to a general worker, Raoul. I asked him what he thinks of this project. Without hesitation, he said the management is good. I asked him why. He said he has been working on 5 projects since he come to Singapore and this is the best because "the engineers (Tay and I) are all very young and not serious".
I was a bit shocked. WHat?! Not serious?!
Later, I found out that he meant we are not harsh or fierce.
Pheww....
