Started work

I've started work for 2 weeks.

Very busy... but I really want to record my feelings for this important transition period in my life. so I will write briefly.

I'm working under Tian again, in Ulu Pandan NEWater plant.

(this pic is taken from my office window. good view siah?)

My office table. still neat and empty. hehe...

I would love to put pictures of the plant here, but I am not sure whether I'm allowed to.

Anyway, I am now working with a team of colleagues. I knew several of them from C3D project. This team is a very young team, most of them fresh grads from last year (1980 borns). They are very dedicated, responsible and cohesive bunch of people. I think I'm very lucky to work with them.

On the process side, there are 4 engineers, Tay, Tang Jia, Chee Pieu and me. Tay is an old friend, a keppel scholar, 1st class honors, smart and handsome guy. He's actually teaching me all the stuff I have to know about construction now. I'm so indebted to him. (Although he's always the reason I get drenched by cheating me to open some weird sampling valves.)

On the I&C (instrumentation & controls) side, is Steven and Soo Beng. Soo Beng is one funny guy. He sits behind me in the office and ALWAYS make me laugh.

On the electrical side is Huang Huang. We, females, are the minority. We have to stick together, haha... But she's moving on to KPE site soon because electrical work are nearly complete. Sigh...

We also have a few supervisors/technicians, most of them are my old friends as well, Jimmy, Hla Ko, Ming-shu, Zaw Min etc. They are really experienced and I can learn a lot from them.

These people really make the work here much more bearable. We always have to work till 12 mn or 1 am but nobody really complain. I like the spirit here.

I only wish that I have more time to record what I do in Keppel now. :)
