Beijing part 3
On my last day in Beijing, it was a Monday, so my husband had to work in the morning. I waited for him to come back to the hotel during lunch. I basically spent the morning packing and watching the tv about the horrible attacks in Paris.
I had wanted to write about this trip on my blog but realized China blocked blogger website and app.
When we walked along the CBD area during lunchtime, we could see a lot of delivery bikes whizzing here and there. These delivery men delivers lunch boxes to the people working in the office buildings. (Ignore this man who is bombing my photo)
We went to 西单 which is another "orchard road" in Beijing.
There were a lot of police on the streets and I was very afraid that I would accidentally take a photo of a police and they would arrest me.
We went to a Chinese restaurant and ordered a
功夫鱼
牛肉丝炒土豆
芥兰
Dessert 😃
Bought some 饼 to bring back to singapore. Cute piggy cookies.
We then went to a large bookstore.
Dinner before I went to the airport. A fish soup and fried rice.
At 9pm, my husband accompanied me to the airport. I spent more than an hour queueing at the customs. The securities check was indeed very thorough. I thought I would be early for my 12 midnite flight but ended up I was only just in time to board my plane. When the plane door closed, I realized that many seats around me were empty. I thought these people must be stuck at the customs and missed this flight. But I enjoyed having 2 seats to myself.
Back to Singapore on Tue morning and I had to go to work at 1pm.
End of my short trip. Mission accomplished.
