My rebellious nature
I think I've rediscovered my rebellious nature during this GE.I know deep in my heart that PAP has done very well in governing Singapore, there's no denying that they are capable and strong. However, when I watched the election results yesterday night, I had hoped the Opposition can win more seats.
I'm not sure of the reason...
- out of sympathy?
- not happy with PAP's high handedness in handling the opposition?
- give chance?
- hoping the PAP get some nice company so that parliament sessions will not be so boring?
- simply, rebellious?
I have to admit that I have a rebellious nature. I do not like to conform. If everyone flocks to A, I will try to go to B, even though B may not be any better than A.
I know politics is dirty and never fair. But shouldn't we at least believe? Believe there is fairness and fight for it. If we can't even hold on to the belief, what will we become?
It is not easy to find fault with PAP after what it has done for us in the past years, but again, no one/party is perfect. I don't appreciate the way they suppress the opposition, I don't appreciate the way they "threaten" residents with upgrading issues.
I believe they can handle these better. Please be gentlemanly, even to your opponents. If we want to build a gracious society, it can start with the government. :)

Not siding with PAP doesn't mean that you are rebellious.
We each have our own views and opinions but you already know my stand about this issue lah. :) I don't like SDP, WP. SDA is quite ok. So..... you know who i support...(*drums roll..*) ALL THE WAY!!!
Anyway, may the best party win.
1 pple, 1 nation, 1 singapore, that's way that we will be, FOREVERMORE!! (prayerfully)
