Feeling better...
It must have been quite a while since I'm really sick. (I mean, not the usual "sick of work" or "sick of my lifestyle".)
The cause was the site trip on Monday. A really inconsiderate PUB staff parked his van at the sheltered spot where we are supposed to collect the wastewater. We had no choice but to park our truck at the other end of the PST and lost the shelter that could have "saved my life".
屋漏偏逢连夜雨, 船迟又遇打头风
And it had to rain... really heavily.
I knew it was coming. On Tue, I stayed home to study. Hoping frevently that this self-quarantine will suppress it.
On Wed, we went to Koh's Grandfather's wake. I thought I was ok so I was in school the whole day.
And it had to rain again... when we were leaving the wake venue. Caught in the rain again $%#*&~@!
I began to lose my voice on Thursday. Bad sore throat. I was at home for 2 whole days (okok, nearly the whole day. I had to go to the lab to look after the Sabrin-twins in the morning and evening wat) sucking on yucky lozenges.
Sore throat is the scariest thing. It is the first sign of illness. Cough, runny nose, fever, rash etc sure to follow. ~panick~ I had to fight the virus! I'm having exams on Wed!!!
On Sat, it was the peak. Really no voice, very difficult to speak, because the throat was just very irritated and dry.
Today is Sunday, I think I've recovered. I've got my voice back. I can study better now, less drowsy and can concentrate better.
Plus no longer have to endure those lab bullies who 乘人之危 for the last few days. I have noted down what you all have said during the time when I can't rebut.
HAH HAH HAH... I'm back. Time for revenge.
