Photos of food


These are efforts I made in Qatar to replicate dishes which can be found easily in Singapore.

千页豆腐
Due to my lack of skills, this dish shall be renamed 四页豆腐. My lousy 刀功 only enabled me to cut the toufu into 4 layers. Then sprinkle porkfloss in between the layers.





Yong Tau Foo
Have to make the fillings myself and stuff into the toufu. Not easy.. toufu very fragile ah.





 Kueh Bangkit
It's Chinese new year season mah, so I wanted to bake some CNY cookies. Kueh bangkits are supposed to be easy to make one. But hor...
still fail lor...




Doha International Airport Lounge
My last chance of enjoying the gold lounge in Doha airport because my husband's Qatar Airways Gold Membership expired in Feb. The snacks provided are really not bad. I could pay USD40 to use the lounge if we don't have the Gold membership but I don't think it's worthed the price for us. Look forward to going to A&W instead in future, not bad alternative!



You would have noticed that the photos get much better from this onwards, because below are taken in Singapore!



Crystal Jade
Most of my close friends know CJ is my favourite restaurant. There's something very comforting about their food.




Japanese food
I really miss Jap food this time round. Went for a sumptuous japanese dinner on first day of CNY!




Xin Wang
is now my 2nd favourite restaurant.




 可爱鸡
Was in Clementi Central one day wondering what to eat for dinner. Came across the stall, 可爱鸡. Still remember that I used to eat there during my NUS days. My Engineering Fac male friends love it as the portion is big.

Now I find it a bit bland and not so satisfying. Nevertheless I do savour the nostalgic feeling of eating this again.
