another year has passed
Today is my birthday.
As today is Saturday, I have to work. We celebrated my birthday on Friday instead. My birthday meal? Fast food, haha.
My birthday cake was a Hokkaido cheese cake I brought from Singapore. Yum yum...
My husband gave me a birthday card. I was surprised that he has the opportunity to buy this card without me knowing. He refused to tell me when he did it. My husband hid secrets from me..hmpfff..... so much for honesty in a marriage.
My husband cooked 长寿面 for my dinner just now. My mom reminded me to cook 2 eggs and peel them myself, and they must be peeled perfectly. I think my eggs weren't quite fresh, it was a difficult task to peel them. I only ate one, eating 2 eggs is a bit too much.
On New Year Eve, we had hotpot with colleagues.
I deep fried the egg toufu, brinjal and yam before putting into the steamboat (which is a rice cooker) and they taste very good. The soup base was a spicy fish soup pack we bought from Paris Chinatown. The rest are the usual fish, prawns, dumplings, sausages, meatballs, crabsticks, toufu and vege.
After hotpot was green tea, doughnuts and corn keuh, while watching the Taiwan and PRC跨年演唱会 downloaded from the internet.
On 1 Jan 2013, I decided that I want to start the year doing all my favourite things.
First thing, good breakfast. We went to Paul for breakfast. Then did some window shopping, and went to Carrefour to get some fresh food and groceries. In the afternoon, I went to the gym. For the rest of the day, we spent at home watching tv.
Happy New Year to us and everyone... hope we have a good year ahead.
