Infamous Shawama
Our colleagues have been telling us how nice the shawamas are at a small eatery near Landmark Mall.
Shawamas are like the kebab wraps we have in Singapore. It's a bread which wraps the lettuce, tomatoes, french fries, chicken/beef, with salad dressing and mayo. We were not a huge fan of such arabic sandwiches, thus far have not make an effort to buy one and try.
One day after dinner at Hani Restaurant, we decided to walk around the shops nearby. We stumbled upon this shawama stall. Feeling bored, we decided to buy some for the following day's breakfast.
They turn out to be only so-so. The meat is too salty and putting them in the fridge overnight just made them worse. The bread is too dry and hard, and the vege and french fries become soggy in the sauce.
Not a very well-spent QR6 if you ask me.
