SAHM
I had lots of time to bring my girl downstairs. I liked that so that she could burn off her energy. Usually she would love her bath after this, then her lunch and a satisfying nap.
She now loves to walk around, as she pleased, savouring her newfound freedom. She refused to let me hold her hands even when she was unsure of the terrain. That was my first realization that my baby would grow up one day and wouldn't need me anymore. She has her world to explore and enjoy, with or without her mama.
I only managed to take photos of the first 2 steps because I quickly stuffed my phone into my pocket once I realized she's going all the way on her own. I rushed up the steps behind her as I was afraid she might fall. But she's fearless. She didn't care that her hands were red on the rails as she pulled her whole weight up nor noticed her tender knees on the cold hard metal steps. I was already regretting not putting on long pants for her.
She had her fun even with just the pouf and few pillows.
I thought about teaching her how to walk up the ramp by an easier route but stopped myself. Why deny her of the fun in learning things the hard way?
And, who's going to take the photos?
