Let's recap 2005.
Started my 2005 in Maldives. Not a very comfortable start, but definitely very exciting and meaningful. Highlight of the year!
My room in the refugee camp where I spent numerous nights lying awake watching the WWF of the rats and birds on the roof.

The beautiful Maldives beach... undisturbed by the horrible Tsunami.no, it's not from a postcard or edited by photoshop. It's 100% genuine, taken by my old-faithful Fujifilm camera.

(1) Christmas dinner with the lab people, including staff, postgraduates and FYP students. I may not know many of them very well, but we are bound by a common identity. That's good enough, isn't it?
(2) Christmas eve. From right, Weihan, Junjie, me, Qingzhong, Kun, Ruoning and... I cannot remember the name. Sorry.
(3) Boxing Day potluck at Chia Lung's house. My lab comrades: Chia Lung, me, Peiying, Xiaowen, Chee Meng, Sing Chuan, Emily, Koh, Huiling, Weiloon, Teck Wee.
Tanjung Pinang (27 - 29 Dec 2005)
Nothing like a relaxing trip to end the year with. I dare not say I deserve a rest, but I certainly needed it. Hopefully this will eliminate/reduce the number of PEOs, pressure-induced emotional outbursts, (which I had a couple in 2005) I will have in 2006.
